Animal Friendly License Plate Program
An estimated 1,000,000 dogs and cats will end up in Texas animal shelters this year. Most will be destroyed. Spaying and neutering prevent homeless animals and needless suffering. By ordering your Animal Friendly License Plate today, you can help keep homeless animals off the road!
Out of the $30 fee required for any special issue Texas license plate, $22 is presently being used exclusively to spay and neuter companion animals in Texas. The fund is administered by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) (Section 828.014 Health and Safety Code). This license plate is the second most successful plate in Texas, producing to this date hundreds of thousands of dollars to help Texas animals.
Call to get your application at 1-800-762-7762 or get the online animal friendly application.
NOTE: If you experience difficulty with the on-line application, you can obtain the Animal Friendly License Plate application, from your local county tax assessor-collector's office, or by calling the toll free number.
